Kurant is a contemporary art space located in the heart of Tromsø, Norway — the gateway to the Arctic. Founded with the mission to bring experimental and thought-provoking art to Northern Norway, Kurant serves as a meeting point for local and international artists, curators, and audiences.
Our programme spans exhibitions, workshops, performances, and residencies, with a focus on site-specific practices that engage with the unique conditions of the Arctic environment — its light, landscape, and communities.
Kurant occupies a renovated warehouse space on Sjøgata, overlooking the harbour and the surrounding mountains, providing a versatile setting for a wide range of artistic practices.
