Film Screening
Film Screening is a placeholder screening event featuring the fictional 16mm feature Tidal Rooms by Maja Lervik, exploring how social agreements are shaped between hard facts and more unstable imaginaries. Through a deliberately mixed set of images, gestures, and references, the project invites visitors to move between familiar structures and more speculative readings of what they see.
Working with iconic forms and recognisable materials as entry points, the project stages a sequence of situations that can be read as both factual and fictional at the same time. The works lean into ambiguity without becoming abstract for its own sake, allowing the audience to test how meaning changes when context, scale, and narrative framing shift from one moment to the next.
the fictional 16mm feature Tidal Rooms by Maja Lervik grounds the project in a practice attentive to current and historical narratives, while keeping space open for humour, friction, and reinterpretation. This dummy text is intentionally long enough to stand in for a real exhibition paragraph and to show how a fuller project description will sit on the page once final editorial copy is added.
